We Will Not Forget
Summer, 1999. Kathleen and Fred moved to Minneapolis. They came to our house one afternoon and Kathleen gave me a small glass full of seeds. This was just the start of exchanging "babies" and just sharing the joys of gardening and life itself. Five years later, we moved back to Michigan. Kathleen and her "babies" moved with us - the lily seeds that yielded elegant orange flowers, Fred's mom's classic African Violet, a Thanksgiving cactus, and a jade-like plant that never survived my impatient prodding and checking.

Then there's the bargain shopping at Pier One's clearance center, Marshall Field's warehouse sale, The Thymes Annual Sale, and best of all, weekend's St. Paul's Farmer's Market. Our two families celebrated Mother's Day the last four years by joining the Twin City's Walk for the Cure.
