Up, Up, and Away

A familiar sight every summer that our family enjoyed and missed while living in Minneapolis. Ed and I went to our house after spending the afternoon at the Orca's lakehouse. Perfect timing - balloons were being launched from our subdivision and all our neighbors were out.

This balloon was one of many that were launched from the tennis court ground.

An awesome sight.

At the home front - the pine siding of our sunroom were nailed last Friday. We spent our weekend enjoying our sunroom. In this picture, Ed is starting to assemble an adirondack chair - it was not so easy since he has to use a lightweight screwdriver to get 68 screws in place. Our cordless is in storage. We will surely need more powerful tools for all our projects for the house.

Guess who enjoyed the chair after it was assembled? Can you imagine what I'll be doing when we move in?

Fern and Durga also visited us yesterday. We showed them around town and got to visit Tony. We took a lot of pictures that we can use to "blackmail" Fern.

Fern asked the trio if they really talk - yes they do. She won't admit that she thinks that they are grreat!
