Dear, Oh Deers!
When Ed told me that there were deers in our backyard, I imagined a couple. To my amazement, there were more than half a dozen in the backyard and a few more coming.

January was mild but February and early March were packed - snow that is. It snowed almost everyday in February, plus a bout of freezing fog, and a lion really roared in March with a blizzard.

Work and travel has kept me from keeping in touch. For the first time this year, I was home for a couple of weeks in a row. We went to Minneapolis late February and had a hard time getting back to Michigan because of a winter storm. We stayed with Fred and he had to blow the snow that covered his driveway so we can get to the airport before 6 am. It was an adventure from the time Fred's Blazer had to plow through the snow bank blocking I694 to rescheduling our flights due to cancellations to the time we got out of a plane at AZO after standing by for a couple of flights.

However, we always have a good time visiting Minneapolis. We celebrated Ed's birthday with Fred, Kate, and Gerardo. Dinner was great at Granite City and we finished with a Cold Stone coffee ice cream cake.

I almost forgot the cats. They had their first bath yesterday. It was not as difficult as we thought - we'll see next time.
