Walk Through

Meet Jeff - our "911" phone buddy for the last 6 months. Our conversation/messages usually start with "Hi Jeff! We are at the house and there seems to be a problem with ..." or "Alicia saw ... and did not like it so ..." especially if Ed is the one calling. Jeff coordinated and supervised the building of our house and all the new constructions in the development. Except for the extended scheduling, he has been wonderful and had responded to all our calls.
In preparation for the closing today, we did our walk through yesterday morning and noted the little things that need to be done - touch up painting, door adjustments, etc. The city also inspected the house and everything passed except for the whirlpool access. Jeff told him that it is the same size as all the rest but this upset the inspector more. Anyway, Jeff had to make a bigger hole for the access (I should have taken a picture of this one) and a new cover needs to be done. Not a biggie - we still close today.

All the clutters in the house have been removed. The windows have been cleaned, countertops buffed, and the floors uncovered. The final vacuuming and dusting will be done today.

The bathroom mirrors and shower door have been installed too.

And the family room/nook/kitchen from the sunroom. For those close to me - they know how much I enjoyed my sunroom in Minneapolis. I love this one - it has all the features I like from my previous sunroom plus the french doors.
Ed and I feel that the house is worth the wait. We are so excited we are having a hard time sleeping (it is 3 am now). Perhaps, we can bring our airbed to the house and sleep there tomorrow night (or is it tonight?) ;-).
